The resource crisis caused by over-fishing of northern cod has left many communities in Newfoundland and Labrador with an uncertain future. But we are as resilient as our landscape. While nothing can entirely replace the cod fishery, our hope is that the production of quality handcrafts will help provide employment, income and a future for many communities. We are putting our label, North By Design, on our strong sense of place and our implacable sense of hope for the future.
